Why is it called Heartmath?

Science and math have identified the peak heart rhythms that help us get into coherence so that you know where you are in the present moment and can improve your cognition and problem solving as well as decrease physical, mental, emotional and physical stress.

Math also refers to the stepping stones taken in understanding the qualities and science of the heart.

What is coherence and why haven’t I heard of it before?

Coherence is defined as an optimal state in which the heart, mind and emotions operate in sync and are balanced, which has been proven to have numerous mental, emotional and physical benefits.” HM

Heart-rate variability training and coherence are on the tipping point of our society. It generally takes something 10 to 50 years to be introduced into society. This technology will be instituted in many places in the next decade. You can already see it many smart watches and other sort of health recording devices.

Is coherence a natural state of being?

Yes, it is a natural state that we often experience when we are with a pet, interacting with a loved one or in a place in nature we cherish.

Is the program evidenced-based?

Yes, this is taught in nursing programs, police departments, major hospitals and studied by the military for PTSD. Which it is very effective for as well as anxiety. There are over 400 peer reviewed studies showing its efficacy in performance, the cardiology world, health care, employee satisfaction, adult and children’s education and more!

How long is the program for best outcomes?

It takes 6 weeks to establish a new neural baseline so we recommend programs to be between 8 and 12 sessions to allow for introduction and outcome evaluations and next steps. We have seen great results in as little as 4 sessions also.

How do we evaluate the outcomes?

By utilizing the Stress and Well-Being Assessment with 12 scales to provide real time insight in the participants life. We can show before and after effects, quantify progress towards goals and build a roadmap for ongoing transformation.
